Takingthe
Perfect Picture
Learning
to capture the moment with today’s digital cameras does
not have to be overwhelming. Gone are the days of having
to worry about your film speed and the f-stop on your camera
to get a great shot. From the children with a cute pink
digital camera to techy geeks with digital cameras with
all the bells and whistles, anyone can be a digital photography
expert in less time than you might think.
Even
the little pink digital camera probably has a lot of features
that make its use simple. Many digital cameras are “point
and shoot” ready. Turn it on, aim and click. But if you
want better photos, here are a few quick hints that will
get you on your way.
- Even
though most digital cameras have a viewfinder screen,
you should use the optical viewfinder instead. This both
allows you to see exactly what you are capturing for a
better aim, and gives the camera a bit more stability.
- With
digital cameras, you get unlimited do-overs. If you don’t
like the shot you got, delete it and try again.
- Keep
your shot simple, and you will often be stunned by the
beauty of the picture.
- Vary
the vantage point of your digital camera pictures for
more interesting composition. Do not take all of your
shots from standing eye level; get on your belly and look
up at the world, or stand on a chair for a different point
of view.
Armed
with these tips, and that pink digital camera you’ve been
wanting, you will look like a pro in no time at all. Happy
shooting!
